Today I am going to review a BB Cream from a local brand, yes I am referring to Shawill BB Cream. This is my first time to try a BB cream from a local brand. I was really planning to get myself a pressed powder from them but the lady at the store told me that if I have an oily skin ( BIG YES! ), she would recommend the BB Cream over the pressed powder.
.
Product Description:
Regenerate skin, conceal blemish and whitens. The transparent texture cream is suitable for all skin type.Your face will become smooth and naturally bright. Nourishes skin while applying and makes skin look radiant and healthy. Protect your skin from sunrays 30 times longer than normal.
This blemish balm costs P168 for 45ml. It claims that it does not only conceal impefections but also it whitens and moisturizes your face. It also protects your skin from the sun because it has SPF25, plus it is also oil-controlling.
PROS:
* affordable
* blendable
* lightweight
* mild scent
* has SPF25
* flash friendly
* travel friendly,
* you can scrape off the last of the cream inside when the time comes
* didn’t cause me any irritation
Cons:
* packaging – the packaging is ok with me, it is travel friendly, masisimot mo pag ginupit mo yung tube, however out of the many stocks, the one I got has a defect, wellI think. The lid does not fit perfectly which caused the product to spill.
MicsThoughts:
The consistency of this is not liquidy nor cream, it’s in between. It has a scent of night creams, yes, that was what I thought right away when I smelled it hehe. I didn’t expect much with this BB Cream given that it is only P168. But I was quite surprised on the coverage it gives, it only provides light to medium coverage, it lightens my dark circles and blemishes but wasn’t able to cover it fully, but it’s fine with me, I can always put a little amount of concealer for that.
What I like in this product is that it is blendable, it doesn’t dry up fast so I have all the time to spread it on my face. It doesn’t leave any stain in my fingers (yes I ike to use my fingers when applying BB Creams and liquid foundations) which I also like.
This product claims that it is oil-controlling. I got to use it the other day and it took me almost 3 hours before I see oil coming out on my t-zone area. (I have an oily face) I only needed 2 blotting papers to remove the oil and still it looks good on my skin after 6 hours. I find that setting it with powder makes my face oil-free longer.
Even though it may not give full coverage, I like how it looks on my skin, it’s like there’s a light coming out from my face haha, my face looks brighter and glowing. If you like matte finish, STAY AWAY FROM THIS BB CREAM. This has dewy finish, it s highly comparable to my Tony Moly LS CC Cream, but a lot cheaper! If you want to mattify it, set it with your powder. I would say this is a good bb cream, affordable, yet has a very nice finish. I just hope you check the packaging when you buy this, so you would not end up like me haha! Aside from the product claims, that it moisturizes and whitens skin, applying this BB Cream makes skin look healtier plus it is flash-friendly!
