It might not be obvious, but I workout. Let me rephrase that, I try to workout, haha! Well I try to do Zumba once a week and if I have extra energy I spend fifteen minutes on treadmill. That’s already a workout for me, at least I am doing something to burn my daily dose of chocolates, sweets and carbs (defensive mode: on). :p
Well I am not being overly defensive here but the reason why I can’t do more ‘workouts’ is that I always have back pain. Well, surprise, I have Scoliosis! For those who are not familiar with Scoliosis, it is an abnormal, sideways curvature of the spine. So back and neck pains are not new to me. Especially when I do strenuous activities.
I am a person who does not take meds right away. As much as possible I don’t take painkillers as they might damage my kidney :p. Kaya inaantay ko nalang mawala ng kusa. I have tried several kinds of topical analgesics – ointments, lotions and patches. Others are too mild while some are too strong. Since my mom also uses this kind of lotions, we are open on trying new ones. We have been using No Stiff for almost a month now. Well, my mom has arthritis and she uses this on her legs and back. She told me that this one ismalamig sa unang lagay, then unti-unti mag-iinit. She also manages to do all of her work the next day after without feeling any discomfort on her back whenever she apply this night before.
As for my personal experience, I prefer this malamig kaysa sa mainit na pakiramdam. I had a bad experience with an analgesic patch which I have tried before. Ang tapang nga at ang init,the next day, I have square burn on my back. And my back became more painful, plus the redness stayed there for about 3 days. So now, I prefer this massage lotion which is milder, even though I apply another layer, it does not burn my skin. I applied it on my bruise on my arm and the next day after?
