It’s about time to give my review on another body scrub. :) And I’m excited to share this one because I really like this product from the first time that I have used it.

I am talking about ESME ORGANICS’ ICE CREAM SCRUB.  – Strawberry Flavor.

INGREDIENTS:

* Sugar

* Strawberry Extract

Directions for Use:

* Scoop a generous amount of the unique blend of the ice cream scrub into a bowl. Apply and lather into your wet skin then rinse. For best result, keep refrigirated.

I eat strawberries but I don’t love them, I am not that “wow-strawberrrries!” kind of person. :p I don’t choose strawberry when I buy ice cream nor choose that flavor as my drink. But this little container changed the way I look at strawberries.

This scrub smells and looks like real strawberry ice cream!!! (I keep it in the fridge btw).  I enjoyed scrubbing it on my skin since it’s cold and it’s like I’m rubbing a real ice cream, I felt like a kid playing with ice cream in the bathroom! The scent makes my scrubbing even better! AHHHH it smells like a strawberry milkshake but I am kinda weird sometimes, I somehow smelled it like “strawberry taho”. I’m actually wondering how it tastes, haha, but I need to control myself from eating this yummy scrub!

You can see some black beads, more like strawberry seeds to me, how can it effectively exfoliate my skin if there were only few seeds I see? But when I started scrubbing it, I realized that the scrub is more of a microscrub, you can feel fine grains as you lather it on your skin, maybe it’s the salt. It’s mild and won’t harm your skin even if you scrub it hard.

As I researched in Google, I read that strawberries can do good things on our skin, first it has skin lightening extracts – ellagic acid which reduces dark spots on skin, which explains how (strawberry scrubs) makes skin lighter and second, strawberries containanti-oxidant ellagic acid which prevents collagen destruction which is one of the major causes of wrinkle formation. Those are the reasons why I feel that my skin seems to be lighter in color and glowing every after scrub.

Aside from the good things that it does on my skin, I like using this 2-3x/week because it’s very relaxing. You like to eat ice cream when it’s hot or you’re stressed, it makes you feel better right? It also gives the same feeling when you scrub with this one. Though some may find its microbeads too mild for scrubbing, it really depends on one’s preference, I still find it effective in removing dead skin cells because my skin looks fairer after every scrub. But the main reason why I use this is the relaxation it gives each time I use it, you may not understand me now but you will when you try it yourself! :) And because this is organic, it is safer to use (I use this on my face also!)  unless you have allergies on strawberries, which is kinda sad but don’t worry because Esme Oragnics offers different flavored scrubs and other organic skincare as well, :)

It also leaves a mild strawberry scent on skin after which makes me want to lick my arms I know it’s ewww. :p But what’s more enjoyable than exfoliating your skin with a super yummy smelling scrub that leaves your skin silky smooth? One more thing, it also leaves skin moisturized so you can definitely skip lotion for tonight! :) <3
