Hello beautiful creatures! <3 Today I will be sharing my thoughts on Rimmel Stay Matte Primer. This is the first primer that I’ve tried. As I’ve said before I have a very oily skin, so I got curious when I saw this “stay matte” primer. I was really searching for foundation that would help me control my oily skin, but I saw this primer instead, hmmm I thought that I should give it a try!

A little goes a long way, matipid gamitin. Its consistency is thick and creamy yet it dried quickly on my face, I noticed right away that it is not sticky, which I super like! It is also true that it is lightweight that is why I prefer to put it on before my foundation. Though it can be worn over makeup, I’m not comfortable with that. No scent was indicated on the bottle, but when I applied it on my face, there was a scent (which I can’t describe) left on my fingers. It smells more like lotion. :p
On a regular day I use my Cover Girl TruBlend foundation and I’m telling you, without exaggeration, my face would get shiny in an hour! So I applied this primer then my foundation. Sadly, it didn’t minimize the appearance of my pores as what it claims. But my face ‘mattified’instantly the moment I applied the primer, which I love!! I seldom see my face matte :p Unfortunately I had a hard time blending my foundation after. Maybe I should try using other foundation next time.
I told you I am not exaggerating, my face got greasy an hour after putting my makeup. That’s why even of I see shine from my t-zone and chin after 3 hours still, this was a big improvement!
After 5 hours, I haven’t applied powder or used blotting paper, you can see oil all over my face. :p Aside from my oiliness, I sweat a lot and that’s the reason why my makeup doesn’t last all day. But I felt that my foundation lasted longer than the usual when I used this primer.

Though I can see oil in my t zone area after few hours, still it’s less greasy compared when using foundation alone. I think this will work better on oily-combi skin. It did control my oiliness but for only 5 hours. I think next time I’ll use this with another foundation, a matte one! Or maybe when I’m not in the mood for foundation, I’ll use this alone. For P400, I think this is worth it. Even if it didn’t control the oil on my face for 8 hours as what is written on the bottle, still this product helped manage my oiliness for some time. For those who have very oily skin like me, you’ll understand me hehe. And I have this feeling that I just need to find the perfect foundation to go with this primer to control my oiliness longer!
